I had very good seeing this morning for these RGB and IR captures of Saturn. The southern regions are more active and there is quite a prominent oval in the STrZ on the p side of the Central Meridian. This is visible in both the RGB and IR 642nm BP images.
The moon at bottom left is Tethys and at upper right Enceladus.
I don't know why the limbs appear so wonky in the IR image.

As an addendum to my previous email regarding my captures of Saturn this morning,I was able to catch the transit of Thethys and its shadow later in the morning light. Thethys is at lower (south) left, near the f limb, where the shadow is closer to the Central Meridian but closer to the south pole. The time stamp on this capture was 20-48-18 UT on 23rd May 2023.

Here are Saturn images recording the transit of Tethys and its shadow across Saturn’s southern hemisphere yesterday morning, May 23rd 2023.
Although no more than “average” seeing with transparency issues this moon and its shadow came out quite clearly in the sharpened stacks of all 4 captures, enabling us to create a small animation as well as the single image. Nothing really noticeable on the planet’s disk itself however.
