Seeing: 7/10
Saturn at opposition. There's some slight disturbance in the northern bands visible, and the Seeliger effect is noticeable only by virtue of the disc having to be darker than previous images to not overexpose the rings.

Here is a report of Saturn using the excellent 102mm refractor under a good sky in spite of the planet's elevation.
Magnifications were 193x and 229x with a seeing quoted 7-8/10 at the beginning then only 6-7/10.
Some verifications proceeding with the W11 filter enhanced the image contrast a little.
The image exhibited a bright surface with some light glare questions, solved with the W11 use.
On EB and EZ suspected albedo variations were noted as shown.
Globally a very good observation with the conditions of the game.
Nothing more.

Here's a Saturn set in moderate seeing from opposition night. Of most interest is a nice streak on the SEB that's prominent in the red filter image, close to a small spot a little further south. It runs from L3 = 231-256 and is slightly curved to the south, close to latitude -21. There is a bright spot at L3 = 248, -26 that may well be associated with the streak (see map). The streak is prominent enough to show up in the RGB image, though it is not clear in green or blue filters (seeing not good enough). In IR, the pale EZ bulges a little south at this longitude. Seeing declined a bit during the set, and transparency was poor for methane, nothing of use was resolved.
Thre are a couple of other spots in the red and IR filter images, notably a pale higher latitude spot at L3 = 259, -43, and a small darker spot at L3 = 209, +26.
