Attached is an observation of Saturn made this evening in difficult conditions. Seeing was initially average but then low cloud started to drift in quite rapidly. A number of points of interest were seen:
The Globe:
- STB and SEB both seen, bluish in colour
- EZ bright with a greyish EB seen.
- NEB quite broad,NEB(s) the darkest belt on the disk- is the next belt to the NEB(n)?
- NTB and NNTB seen,NTZ continues to display a greenish tint
The Rings:
- A-Ring greyish-brown in colour
- Cassini Division seen at the ansae edges
- B1-Ring a bright white in colour with the B3 ring seen.
- C-Ring also visible.
Alas the clouds came up with 1814UT before any intensity estimates could be made.

Image set from 26 October. Seeing conditions deteriorated during the session with the IR negatively affected.
One notable point of this session was that at one point I looked down and found a small scorpion between my feet. I was able to identify it as one of the more venomous species in this area, but was able to safely escort it from the premises!
