I had excellent seeing for a relatively long series of captures on Saturn with the moon Dione and its shadow in transit. I made a total of 9 x IR,R,G,B runs of 90 secs per channel. The first NIR and RGB images from the first 3 capture sequences,at 18:12 and 18:18 UT respectively, clearly show the moon's shadow. Unfortunately the seeing/ contrast was not quite good enough to show the moon against the planet. The latter two images, which were the result of integrating all 9 runs, had a better Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR),but by the midpoint of the sequence the shadow was no longer in transit and once again the moon is not visible. The NIR and RGB images were both captured at 18:37 UT.
There is some indication of festoons and eddies in Saturn's cloud tops, evidenced by blink animating the two captures, but they are not at all distinct. I include a composite of the two RGB images inclined to make the comparison easier.
