Here is my Saturn data obtained today,from 00:03UT to 00:58UT,using a 14" SCT,at f/10,and an IMX462M camera. Seventeen 3min SERs were obtained (5ms integrations,gain 300; 17 individual stacks with usable 30000 frames were analysed).
The 17 individual images, mildly processed, are shown in the time-lapse "2024-09-15_IR685 AJC spoke.gif",where Rhea occultation is observed, and a spoke candidate is seen,at left,in Saturn's rings. Disk detail, still poorly discriminated,is also seen rotating with the globe.
The time lapse "2024-09-15_IR685_AJC disk detail and spoke.gif" uses,as the first six frames, the result of JUPOS derotating and further contrasting, groups of 3 individual and sequential original images (only two images were derotated for the sixth frame). The 7th frame, which is shown for a longer period,is the result of derotating all 17 original images). The spoke candidate and rhea occultation are still seen, but disk detail is clearer.
Finally, the image "SATURN 2024-09-15_IR685_AJC.jpg" shows at the top row the JUPOS derotation of the 17 original images (further enhanced at right),with labeled spoke candidate and the latitude of the most visible white and dark spots. Additional belt/zone border irregularities are also seen. The mid and bottom rows of the image show the first six frames of "2024-09-15_IR685_AJC disk detail and spoke.gif",and as already mentioned each is the result of derotating 3 original images in JUPOS (only two original images were used in the 00:50.9UT image.

I was able to image with the vintage 26 inch refractor at McCormick Observatory. I used to visually observe with it back in the 1980s. Also,an image of a most challenging double star, delta Equuei. We had to use over 2000x to split it! Sadly,I could not use my Barlow on Saturn due to the thicker clouds.
Thanks to Myron Wasiuta
