Hi all, here's an image of Jupiter from last night using a 750nm longpass filter in reasonable conditions.
8 images spanning 10 minutes were combined in Winjupos.
The GRS is visible below centre and also some of the bright storms in the NTB outbreak across the upper part of the image.

here attached are two images from last evening under poor seeing and transparency.
This is the area following the GRS,the NEB outbreak is well developed.

After a rather lengthy break from imaging,I had to run a test session yesterday evening as explained below,
where I was able to capture some of the NTB activity. The GRS was in transit.
Two and a half weeks ago, following a Venus afternoon session,I had inadvertently left the observatory roof open.
The following day, returning from a day trip into Windhoek,
I was horrified to see the roof open, and that there had been a significant downpour.
I had to drain water out of all the electric, electronic and mechanical components.
A quick test indicated that there was a problem with the RA drive, and I opened up to find the pc board half submerged.
I drained it and dried it as best I could. With us in the midst of our rainfall/cloudy season,
it meant that I could leave the equipment to dry out for the last 2 weeks.
So I held my breath as I powered up and ran through a full test of all systems.
Very thankful that everything seems to be ok!
[Clyde Foster : Khomas,Namibia]
Good seeing.
[Tom Williams : Wiltshire,UK]
Hre's a set of RGB, IR & CH4 images taken on the 16th in relatively good conditions from my location,
despite the low altitude.
The GRS is in transit, and two of the NTBs outbreak heads are in view.
The large festoons on the EZ are quite pretty in the IR.
Clear skies all
