Hi all,here are two images of Jupiter from last night in average seeing.
This seems to be as good as it gets from Rubyvale at present with our current weather conditions and Jupiter's low altitude.
I've had a couple of people ask me why I'm only recording IR,
I explain to them that the 750nm IR is very forgiving and gives a good image even in very poor seeing,
but last night I chose to record and process an RGB image to post for comparison
to show the difference between 750nm IR longpass and RGB under my current conditions.

寒波が入り、シーイングが悪くなりました。
NTBがうっすらと、mid-SEB outbreakがボンヤリと見えました。

弱い北風、やや霞みがかった空ですがシーイング比較的良好。時折雲が通過しますがさほどは悪化せず安定しています。
重い腰を上げてderotateを試みました。遅まきながら効果確認。

Here's a set of RGB,IR & CH4 from the 17th in moderate conditions and low altitude.
It shows the area of the large SEB outbreak,the first time I've had a look at that.
The long curved darker band stretching along the EZ/NEB boundary in IR was a little interesting,
as was the large bright patch on the SSTB (below the dark STB segment)
- but there will be others who have much nicer images of those features than me!
A long wake of NTBs disturbance covers that latitude.
