EDへ鎌の様に伸びた濃いフェスト―ンが見える

しばらくの悪天候の後、ようやく晴れたが、最悪のシーイングだった。

雲がきてなかなか晴れず1枚目と2枚目の撮影間隔が開いてしまいました。

Attached is my first observation of Jupiter in the current apparition.
Seeing conditions were quite good and I was able to observe some interesting details on the disk.
John Rogers has issued an alert advising of a bright outbreak in the STB.
As luck would have it,this was the region visible on the morning of 26th September and the outbreak was visible.
Also:
* SPR: This was quite well defined,greyish in colour.
* SSTZ: Quite bright and very well defined zone.
* SSTB: A brownish belt which contained a number of bright ovals
* STZ: A light zone but perhaps not as bright as the SSTZ?
* STB: A brown belt but slightly irregular. There is a dark section over the GRS and this feature contains the STB outbreak
* GRS: This was quite prominent and the colouration was stronger than in previous observations.
Interestingly the prec part of the GRS seemed to be darker.
* SEB: A broad band. There seemed to be an additional thin bright zone just south of the SEB northern boundary.
* EZ: A bright zone which contained a number of bluish festoons and an darker equatorial belt.
* NEB: Still broad and active- a prominent white spot can be seen close to the CM along the northern boundary.
* NTB: This seems to be a very thin greyish belt.
* NPR: A vague greyish region with some mottling present.
Observations concluded at 0449UT as the dawn was starting to approach.
I also noted that Io was particuarly orange in colour.
