Kiyoto Mashima

Kiyoto Mashima,Naha,Okinawa,Japan]

Here is a report of Mars performed with the CC154mm under average images, good on short moments.
The planet was catched between clouds.
The more contrasted features were Mare Boreum and Sinus Meridiani/ Sinus Sabaeus.
Brightenings were noted essentially at the limb and the terminator, both filters W80A and W56.
A haze band crossing the disk is suspected (EBC?) covering Chryse-Xanthe also. But brightening extensions were noted from the terminator and the limb in relation.
Indeed, the W80A/56 filters featured on the disk were not drawn,in fact similar to those noted without filter, but less contrasted but close to.
The Mars atmosphere seemed rather transparent.

Constantin Sprianu
Bad seeing,of course,still winter here.

This was only my second best chance on Mars in this opposition period. I could aquire two good images, which accidentally give a good pair for a stereographic view also. Enjoy.
