Saturn Image 2025/04/04(UT)

A first glimpse (literally!) of Saturn after solar conjunction.
Having used nearby Venus for focus and synchronising the mount, it wasnft too difficult to find Saturn a few minutes before sunrise at an altitude of 18 deg.
However, as I was running the first 120s capture, about half way through, the cloud closed over, and I was left rather frustrated!
I stacked what I could to try and get at least some form of result out.
The ring angle(De) is at -0.6 deg, and given the situation, its no surprise that nothing was detected of the rings.
The solar declination was +0.5 deg, and to be honest, I am not sure that I have the N/S orientation correct!
With the clear eastern sky here, and with us approaching the end of the cloud/rain season, I anticipate that image quality to improve fairly quickly as Saturn rises earlier.
