Just a brief R610LP monitoring session this morning in rapidly deteriorating conditions.

Seeing conditionswere only fair at best but there were some interesting points observed:
The Globe:
・SPR: a darker dusky region but not particuarly so and I could see no trace of colour
・S3TB - STB: Three faint belts were seen, the zones separating them had a greenish hint
・SEB: A broad belt with only the SEB(N) component particuarly well defined. The belt is braod and a warm brown in colour. There were hints of darker condensations in SEB(N)
・EZ: A bright region. I was able to see a faint grey equatorial belt. The ShRG was also present in the EZ(S)
・NEB: A Broad belt, again warm brown in tone. The NEB(S) and NEB(N) components could be seen bu the NEB(S) was the darkest and most prominent of the two.
・NTB-NNTB: These thwo belts were faint but could be seen in moderate seeing.
・N3TB: A dark bluish band, more prominent than the NTB and NNTB.
・NPR: A vague greyish illd efined region
The Rings:
・A-Ring: The outermost part of the ring was darker but the centre of A-Ring seemed to be quite bright.
・Cassini Division: Only seen at the ansae edges and a light grey in colour, not black.
・B-Ring: A golden colour and the brightest of the rings.
・C-Ring: More of an ill defined yellowish glow at the ansae edges.
The transit of the shadow of Rhea:
WINJUPOS indicated that the shadow of Rhea would be visible on the disk by about 0356UT. While Rhea is a bright satellite,it subtends a very small apparent diameter so I thought it unlikely that the shadow would be detectable. I examined the disk of Saturn at power of x319 (seeing wouldn't tolerate any higher),and even though Rhea was visible up until 0411UT when the morning light finally rendered it invible there was no sign of Rhea's shadow on the disk. It would be interesting to repeat this observation in better seeing conditions and indeed with a larger telescope to see if the shadow becomes detectable.
By 0415UT the sky was very light and observing had to be abandoned.
