We had clear skies her eon 8th September and I made an observation of Saturn. Conditions were only average at best but there were a number of interesting points on the planet:
The Globe:
・SPR: Rather dark, hint of a bluish colour and a souther polar band.
・SSTB - STB: Both belts visible and of a warm tone. The zones between have a greenish tint.
・SEB: This is still a broad band with one component- the northern component is dark and the belt extends to the south.
・EZ: A light colour zone, there seems to be a faint greyish band in the EZ.
・NEB: A broad band with two components although the southern component is the darker of the two.
・NTB- NNTB: seen but faint and a bluish colour
・N3TB: present and is darker than the other two northern belts but not as dark or prominent as the NEB
・NPR: A rather grey vague region
The Rings: Now very narrow
・A-Ring: It is still possible to discern than the outer 1/3 is darker
・Cassini Divison: Very difficult, little more than a faint greyish patch at the ansae edges
・B-Ring: A bright golden ring,no details.
・C-Ring: A vague faint glow at the ansae edges.
Seeing and definition dropped off at 23:52UT and observing was abandoned.
