I have been trying to observe transits of Titan's shadow however I keep being thwarted by the dismal weather.
On the 8th both the seeing and transparency were acceptable but not great. The image of Saturn was a little dim and I alternated between using the apodizer and observing without it.
I was able to discern the major belts and zones on the disc, and a little colour. In better moments subtle details could be glimpsed but not for long enough to be sure of them.
The rings displayed variations in brightness corresponding to the cassini division, a brighter section at ring A, and a dimmer section where ring C and the night time sky would be seen near the disc. Their shadow on the disc appeared slightly curved with the tiniest of gaps between it and the rings at the limb, which created a lovely 3D effect.
