Remarkably,I managed to get the transit of Titan last night! We had heavy rain all day then at 2110UT it stopped and the clouds cleared. Even more remarkably, the seeing conditions were rather good as a heavy mist/fog started to form. I quickly opened up the telescope and was able to see very clearly Titan transiting across the disk of Saturn. This was my finest view of the event (seeing last time was poor) and it occurred with the rings close to the narrowest in this edge on presentation of the rings.
The Globe:
・SPR: A vague region, somewhat ill defined. There was a belt nearby which may have been a SPB.
・SSTB - STB: Two thin belts, the region between them still retains its greenish tint.
・SEB: A broad band with two components. The SEB(N) was the darkest of the two belts and there seemed to be some darker condensations present.
・EZ: A bright zone with an EB visible. The ShRG was visible in the EZ(N) and Titan could be seen here in this zone. Titan itself appears quite dark against the bright EZ and I would say it is of intensity 8 and a definite dark grey colour.
・NEB: A Broad belt with two components which seem to be fairly uniform.
・NNTB and N3TB: Two thin belts, bluish in colour. They have have been easier to see than their southern counterparts.
・NPR: A vague region with little detail.
The Rings: Saturn's tilt at the time of observation was -0.4° and so now they appear as a thin line of light. I could not detect the greyish patch marking the Cassini Division but closer inspection of the rings was interesting. They appear a golden colour and have a degree of granularity to them. I observed no condensations but one did get the impression of a regular granularity on both sides of the ansae. In the drawing Tethys is also shown.
By 21:36UT Saturn was passing close to the roof tops and seeing broke down. Not long after, thick low cloud and fog clouded the sky and no further observing could be done for the night.

Image set from yesterday evening as Titan was in transit.
Some personal meaning to me,as I recently had the pleasure and privilege of interaction with some of the lead scientists on the NASA Dragonfly mission, which will hopefully be sending a heavily instrumented rotocopter to Titan (scheduled arrival mid 2030’s)

I managed to observe the Transit of Titan for about 2.5 hours on Saturday, although the sky was always full of drifting cloud and we had thick fog at ground level.
I'm very pleased with the result. The most striking aspect of which was the apparent change in colour as Titan moved across different backgrounds, a really strange phenomenon to document when you get so used to making sure you dont record illusions!
18:05 - 18:25. Ant II, transparency medium, then poor, then foggy and clouded out.
Titan observed approaching the disc, appearing rich amber with a soft limb against the black sky.
No sign of the Rhea / Tethys appulse which was taking place grazing the rings at this time, nor of the shadow of Tethys on the disc.
19:35. A small clear patch, I could see titan on the disc. It appeared coffee-brown, only very slightly darker than Saturn's disc so near to its limb.
20:00, A clear patch of sky for a couple of minutes, but thick fog at ground level.
Titan looks mid-warm-grey as it moves further on to the disc. It is 4 or 5 diameters in now, located in the northern part of the brighter equatorial zone with its northern limb over the NEB.
20:25. A fleeting clear few seconds with Ant II seeing.
Titan is 1/4 of the way across Saturn's disc, it looks very dark grey now, almost as dark as the shadow of the rings.
Whilst concentrating on Titan, averted vision made me aware of Tethys at +10.39 now it has pulled clear of the end of the rings, and maybe and Enceladus at +11.35 but that is still next to the rings, so may be an illusion?
20:35. Total cloud cover returned.
