Hi all, here's an image of Venus from this morning using a 1000-1020nm bandpass filter showing the thermal glow from the night side. Seeing was not good due to local smoke and haze but combining about an hours worth of data in the Gimp & Registax gave a reasonable result. Once again the dark silhouette of Aphrodite Terra can be seen prominently on the right. Once again an animation comparing to a topo map is included for reference.
