Here is a venus report using the 80mm refractor last 30th august under rather good images and a relative transparent sky. AL was there just above the perception limits. Anyway, colouration of DS was noted, purplish near the terminator on the equator zone, but not at the limb of the crescent. Towards, a delicate red copper tint was also noted. AL on DS was not full surface as drawn. The blue and green filters exhibited a very faint light, more intense with the red filter, but faint nevertheless. Using the 144x magnification the AL intensity was almost nothing without coloration. It seems the AL survey on finish now (elongation 25° west, 10% phase).
