Here's my latest image of Jupiter.  Note the elongated white oval on the SSTB.  It's getting longer and longer this season.  Will the SSTB become a white belt when this is over?

The current high pressure region above the West-European area provides an exellent steady air.
This is an image of Jupiter obtained last night June 8.The altitude was exactly 20 degrees.Seeing:
exellent for the altitude.(transp:7/wind:NNE-(0-1))The shadow is from Ganymed.
-note the reddish mid-SEB.

Not very good conditions on this date. Here is a solitary red,taken  through my Newtonian 245 mm f4.8. The nick in the N f limb is the  shadow of Ganymede,stretched out because of the low angle of  incidence on the globe.
