Some frustrating seeing this morning, varying from perfect to poor over periods of a few seconds... This kept up for about 90 minutes leading up to transit when the storm was also best placed. This was also opposition night when saturns rings should be at their brightest.
Here is the first processed image, green filter only, showing the storm. There are some interesting things to see in this image. The storm still appears to have several regions, although the resolution here is not enough to see if they are really separate or not. Also there seems to be a long streamer of material at the same latitude reaching from the storm pretty much all the way across to the right hand limb. It is noticeably brighter than the material to the left of the storm.
A darker spot can also be seen below and slightly to the right of the storm.
Titan is well placed in the image as well, and was showing as a well resolved disk at times.
One more thing that I found intriguing was how the shadow of the ring on the planet showed through quite clearly around the edge of the ring in good seeing,ie the ring where it passes across the front of the planet had a small but clear black outline both above and below. This was quite visible in the raw data so it's no processing artifact. I spent some time studying that while capturing at the scope.

Here's the equivalent colour image to the go with the mono image posted earlier.

Ok,this is about as good as I think I can do,this time only one alignment point and focussed on the storm region,as a result the storm is a bit better defined at the expense of the rest of the planet. But no joins or seams to complicate the image...
In the enhanced pane you can see a small dark storm that is south (above) the main storm, just touching, and also what appears to be a stream of material going off to the right.

Its opposition day! But it was a bit frustrating this evening. The sky was overcast early this evening. The clouds broke at around 9pm and I had to image in between clouds till around 9:50pm after which the sky cleared.
Titan can be seen approaching Saturn. Starting April 15,Titan will transit Saturn for 5 times until July 4. This rare event won't happen again till the next ring plane crossing!
The rings are very bright due to the Seeliger Effect.
The SED can be seen but the contrast is very low. It is more diffuse now. The SEB is very dark red. Both poles are still dark.
