Seeing was okay this evening but the transparency wasn't great. There was a haze over the city.

The previous night was "opposition night" but I was occupied that night with a
very successful public observing session run by West of London AS,on which we
showed 250 people the Moon,Mars and Saturn. So these are my closest images to
opposition this year. I had poor seeing and very poor transparency.

The spot (or "storm") in the SSTrZ is on the CM in the R image,at a System III
longitude of 6 degrees. It is visible in IR as well. I have left Titan in all
the images for added interest,to the lower right - bright in IR,very faint in
blue. When stretched, the IR image shows 4 more moons, but not Mimas which is
too close to the rings on the preceding side.

Saturn was at opposition, and so visible all night. The seeing was rather good and I used a combination of powers: 250x, 312x and 400x.
SPR was dark and dusky, I had an impression of a vague STB but it was rather ill-defined. and there seemed to be little difference in intensity between the STZ and the STropZ, both were a dull grayish colour. The White Spot in the STropZ was visible, though had the conditions not been as good as they were, I doubt I should have seen it; the spot seems to be less bright than the last observation.
SEB double, though not easily so, the SEB(N) was a brownish red, while the SEB(S) was more grayish. EZ(s) a bright yellow colour, but not as bright as EZ(n). No sign of any shadows. NEB large and broad and a brownish colour. An interest grayish darker section present in the belt near the Proc. limb. I had the impression that the south edge of the NEB was slightly irregular.
NTropZ and NTZ seemed to be of a similar brightness and a grayish yellow colour. NTB fairly easy, much more so than it's southern counterpart. NPR dark and dusky.
Rings very bright tonight! Interesting satellite configuration, Titan (at the bottom) distinctly orange.

Good seeing but very high dew and low transparency.
