Imaged Saturn last night, targeting the dark oval in the NNTrZ.
Have 2 R,2 RGB & 1 742nm IR data sets over a session of 90 minutes. The seeing was fair.
The dark oval is clearly visible in all data sets. In the first R & RGB images the bright spot that has been leading the dark oval in the NNTrZ is also visible but the distance between them is stretching out noticeably. I suspect the position of the bright spot, being a little further North,is experiencing the stronger winds in the jetstream of this region. I also note a bright spot in the NEB,just leading the dark oval.
Have also attached animations of the R & RGB data which show the movement of the dark oval quite well. Have also attached polar projections of all data.
