日本ではSinus Sabaeus (320W~350W,-10)付近が見えている。全面がダストベールに覆われている。
SPCは小さくなってきている。井上氏の画像によれば8月4日にArgyre (30W,-50 )の南西側にできたエッジダストストームは、
今日もほぼ同じ位置にある。ここ3週間程度遡ってみると、ほぼ同じ位置に見られることから、地表にできた模様だと判断するのが
いいように思う。荒川氏の画像では、この位置がリムに来ており、明るく記録されている。このことから、SPCからダストが吹き
出されたことは、間違いないように思う。
In Japan, the vicinity of Sinus Sabaeus (320W~350W,-10) is visible. The entire surface is covered with dust veils.
SPC is getting smaller. According to Mr. Inoue's image, the edge dust storm formed on the southwest side of Argyre (30W,-50)
on August 4th is in the same position today. Looking back about the past three weeks, it seems to be seen at almost the same position,
so it seems to be good to judge that it is a pattern on the ground surface. In Mr. Arakawa's image, this position came to the limb
and was recorded brightly. From this, I think there is no doubt that dust was blown from the SPC.

終始、薄雲を通しての撮影でした。

火星の高度が上がるにつれ、逆に、シーイングが悪化してしまいました。
≪奈良県奈良市 荒川 毅≫[Tsuyoshi Arakawa:Nara Japan]
今日は、シーイングが悪かった。観測していても一向に良くなる気配がない。上空に寒気が入っているためだ。連日の観測疲れもあって、眠気が来ている。
今日は、観測は1時間で中止。Hellasは明るくない。ミッチェル山も分離できない。Meridianiの様子もよくわからない。
模様は、SPCが縮小して来て、大規模なエッジダストストームの発生も減り、大気は透明度がよくなってきた。そのため、模様が見えやすくなってきた。
これからが楽しみである。
