解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi

The image of Amazonis (120W~170W,+30~0) is recorded in the image of Mr. Jean Jacques Poupeau. Not only the volcano but
also the surface pattern was recorded, indicating that there is little dust on this surface. Mr. Paul G. Abel records the situation
where Dusty is south of Mare Cimmerium (W180~W250,-40~0). It can be seen that it is affected by the edge dust storm. It looks like
the image by Mr. Jean Jacques Poupeau and Mr. Paulo Casquinha. Mr. Pericles Enache's image captures this position in front,
but it doesn't look very dark. It seems that it was thick enough to be hard to notice from the front. The same thing is happening
in the southwest of Argyre (30W,-50).

The seeing was average and the transparency fair.

The seeing was really rather excellent and I had some of my finest views of the Mars- the 12" Newtonian really performed and pulled out some splendid fine details on the disk.
The first thing to catch my attention was what looked like brilliant yellowish clouds on the morning limb over the Thyle I region and extending up to/into the the SPC.
I made a separate drawing the the SPC and its environs at a power of x300. On the evening terminator was the Solis Lacus feature, but it looked much more muted than I recall before.
Argyle II and Mare Australe seemed to be well defined as brighter patches
To the west,Aonius Sinus and the Mare Sirenum were seen but again in a much more subdued fashion suggesting Martian dusk is present in the atmosphere.
The yellowish colour extended down over much of the following limb.

Conditions were not very good despite a weaker jetstream of 11 m/s and seeing of 0,75 arc seconds.
What contributed for the image degradation was the 72 to 80% humidity and a lower level haze.
Temperature was 13 degrees Celsius and there was no wind.

今日も雲を通しての撮影で火星は前日よりもさらに暗く、シーイングもダメでした。

In good seeing. The technique I have used is a near-IR luminance layer on an RGB composite,
with the view derotated to the time of the IR. I’ve tried a couple of different IR filters here.

The Tharsis volcanoes are well seen. A curved streak of dust is visible near the SPC.
