Here is a mars report performed last 2nd october with the 203mm cassegrain with average good images on moments but under an average sky transparency..
A comparison is given with the 50mm refractor for the anecdote.
Hazzy at the limb and the limb,Syrtis major is well occulted by a dusty misty veil commencing on Hellas bassin,
Mare Cimmerium occulted at the terminator by a white hazze misty.
Chaos appeared clear with some contour,the north p le area remained whitish hazzy.
It was not possible to watch the planet using the violet filter due to the lack of sky transparency.
Hope we get here a more stable atmosphere and colder temperatures.

14時（UT)を過ぎたころから、大変良いシーイングに恵まれ、気持ちよく撮影ができた。
すぐそばに満月が輝いていたが、さほど影響はなかった。20cmにしては細部がよく写った。Red（R60)、Blueフィルターを用いた。

今日もダイニック・アストロパーク・天究館に来た。
カセグレンはきつい！ニュートンは接眼部がほぼ水平か、軽く見下ろす向きにしているが、カセグレンは見上げる。
高度が上がると、床に座ってじっと上を向いて、我慢の子になる。地獄だ！これから先の６０ｃｍでの観測は、考え物だと思った。
色の観測に中心をおいて見たが、大陸部の赤い色は３５ｃｍよりも濃く、さすがに効いているなあと思った。また、暗色模様の青色も見事だ。
減光フィルターを入れているので、見やすいが、フィルター＾をとると、シレーンが眩しくて見えないくらいだった。

It’s been several years since I imaged Mars,never with my current camera filter wheel combination.
The conditions were quite ordinary but the 685nm IR and R channel data produced a reasonable result.
Olympus Mons is well placed near the CM.

Apart from the northern polar hood clouds, it does appear that there are a few more clouds at lower latitudes.
We are gradually heading towards cloudier times in coastal NSW,
but fingers crossed I'll get a few more Mars images while it so big and close!
