今日はヤボ用で年休を取ったので、惑星報告の更新が早めに終わり撮影できました。
新望遠鏡の調整も進み、赤道儀も換えたの、多少はまともな画像が得られました。シーイングは波が激しく、クッキリ見えたりボヤ〜とボケたりの繰り返しでした。
ダストストームは南半球を中心にかなり広がっている様に感じます。

17日最後の撮ったもので子午線湾の付近にもダストが拡がって、ノアキス〜アルギレ〜クサンテ〜タ+チス付近までダストが拡がっているようですが、
19時になって雲が厚くなり撮像が出来なくなりました。(13・14ひには太陽湖が２個あるかのように見えました。) なお、アキダリアの北にも白雲かダストが拡がっているようです。

サバエウスの南半分もダストに覆われ、一瞬どこを見ているのだろうかと思ってしまいました。
この経度だけを見ていると、南極の周囲以外の全面にダストが拡がったかのように思ってしまいます。

16日に見られたアルギューレ盆地に向かうウネウネとした流れは消失し、南緯50〜60°近辺にダストが幅広く拡散しているように見える。
普段見慣れた太陽湖の周辺が白濁しその形状が掴めない。

I had to wait until 20:30 for a gap in the clouds,and even then gusting wind made observation difficult.〓〓
By this time most of the dusty region had rotated out of view,however〓Solis Lacus was still on the limb.
At first I thought the whole of that region was full of dust with just a yellow oval visible,
but with care I began to make out a dark inlet in the dust from the South,
and eventually realised that I was seeing a V shape obscuring most of Solis Lacus.〓
I could not see the dust in the〓Western end of Valis Marinaris,just a dusky marking in the region of Tithonius Lacus.
The rest of the disc looked relatively normal in colour.
I found the brightening on the evening limb to be quite yellow,and not the usual bright bluish white.〓〓
The NPH was white,but perhaps less bright than of late.〓
Morning mist seemed to be less widespread too,and was confined only to the North.〓〓

The sky was clear today but seeing was a little unstable.
The dust storm has really grown and has spread to a great area!
There is dust from Solis Lacus to Sinus Meridiani/Sinus Sabaeus! The dust is all over Mare Erythraeum.
Aurorae Sinus is unrecognizable now! The dust has spread north over Chryse and Ganges all the way to Niliacus Lacus!
This is turning into a major dust storm!

黄雲は、南や左（東？）にも広がっているようです。始まりの、二条の明るいところは、まだハッキリとしています。黄雲のあたりは、Ｂ−３９０でも明るいようです。

仕事から帰宅したが来客があって、すぐに観測は入れなかった。シーイングはそこそこ良かっただけに、残念である。
ダストストームは大きく広がった。西側にも広がったが、東側に大きく広がった。東側はNoachisに及んでいる。
まだ、南に広がる気配を感じる。西はSolisの南側を隠し、Daedaria付近を覆い、そこから北に向かっている。おそらく山脈の地形にそって移動したように見える。

The dust storm continues its northward and global movement.
Only the area just north of the southern polar cap appears dust free from this angle.

The dust storm is moving quickly,and has extended to the south west of Solis Lacus,with a concentrated cloud centred over S Lacus itself.
A preceding bank of cloud can be seen further to the south-west.
Interesting that the clouds also show quite bright in G and B,which,as best I can understand,
indicates that they are mixed cloud(Dust/Water ice/CO2). Olympus Mons can be seen lower centre.

Break between clouds. The dust storm has spread into Thaumasia; southern Thaumasia is brightest,
with western Thaumasia also dense,Northern Thaumasia is bright but less conspicuous. I could see Solis Lacus faintly.
Electris is brighter than Phaetontis.

Here is a mars report performed with the 154mm cassegrain〓under good images.
The dust veils appeared well though the yellow green,
deep green and red filters on the Solis Lacus area and on Aonius sinus,distinct.
They seemed not progressing a lot compared with the 15th observation.

子午線湾が半分隠れていました。

ダストがアリュギュレ方面から子午線湾、デューカリオン地方に流れ込み、アリンの爪がカマキリの顔のようだ。
R画像では両方の目玉はよくわかるが、GやB画像では向かって右側の目玉はほとんど見えない。
画像処理後にわかったことであるが、11時12分の画像では、カマキリの顔が、消防ホースもしくは、象の鼻のようになっている。
この時間は食事をしていて撮像しなかったのは残念だ。変化の過程を記録出来たかもしれない。
しかし、短時間でこのように地表の模様を変化させるダストストームのエナルギーは驚かされる。

Here is a series of Mars images taken through photometric UBVRI filters. The seeing was excellent.
This is for a project to perform a small reflectance study of the Martian details (to be carried out later).
As an interesting remark,you can note a curious phenomenon of inversion of albedos in the UV,
Mare Cimmerium and Sirenum being brighter than the northern deserts - and this is not by clouds.
This can be spotted on other UV images as well.
This is a little photometric work on my series of images from November 17th.
It depicts how much a few selected features on Mars can reflect the Sunlight,i.e. their albedo (which is measured out of 1 = perfect reflection)
This starts from calculating the five apparent magnitudes of the planet (three references stars in Pisces),
and transforming them into absolute planetary magnitudes (as if Mars was 1 AU from the Sun,and 1 AU from the observer).
Then a comparison can be made of how much sunlight is reflected,after correcting as well the orbital parameters.
The equations have been found from Richard Schmude's and Anthony Mallama's references in the scientific litterature.
The results are quite exact in V,R,I looking at the references but a bit faint in UV and B.
This comes certainly from an average photometry in these two bands,
but could also partly reflect the reality of a planet that was probably darker than usual in the short wavelengths due to a very small and dull polar cap,
and an almost complete absence of white clouds.
Every area measured is normalized in intensity as if it had the same size than the whole planet.
Nothing to discover really from this little study,but this was above all an exercise to prepare for the next Jupiter apparition where I intend to perform such a work as well
