Seeing conditions improved briefly allowing for increased detail.

薄曇りの空で、最初は雲を通しての撮影でしたが、一時的に透明度は低いものの晴れたので、1セット撮影出来ました。
しかしその後は完全に曇ってしまいました。

The sky was mostly clear when I started imaging. But there were thunderclouds headed my way.
There were periods of good seeing. I had to shut down a few minutes before we had a heavy downpour.
The dust storm has engulfed a huge area around Mare Erythraeum.
Dust is still prominent on Vallis Marineris and Aurorae Sinus/Eos.
Sinus Meridiani and Sinus Sabaues can be seen on the right. The dust is headed that way.

Poors conditions of seeing 2/5 estimate, poor and variable transparency, many cirrus
Follow the evolution of the storm. It seems that the great cloud that yesterday covered Solis Lacus is dispersing.
On the other hand there is a great accumulation of dust on Foelix and Aonius Sinus. From this position,
towards the southeast it seems to continue to evolve as well, extending

We had a brief clearing here this evening, and although the jet stream was right overhead, the seeing was rather good!
The wind was a nuisance at times but overall I managed two drawings of the planet.
The first thing which caught my attention was the appearance of a bright 'dust lane' which seemed to start in Dia and pass over
(and obscuring) Coraeis Portus into Foelix and Claritas.
Aonius sinus and Solis Lacus could still be made out. Thurmasia also seemed to contain clouds/dust.
The preceding limb was yellowish from the equator up to the SPC.
On the following side,Sirenum could be seen however I had the impression that the feature was not as dark as usual.
I also had the impression that there may have been dust in Phaethontis but I am not certain of this.
The second drawing was made with a W21 (orange) filter and largely shows the same thing
but there was more structure in the brighter regions than in IL.
By 1902 the seeing became hopeless and I closed down the observatory.

same area of Mars without and with the storm. Is hiding the surface of the planet.

This evening, shortly after sunset,I took this shot showing the storm in progress on Mars.
An elaboration with a previous image of my (obtained precisely a month ago) perfectly shows the development of the storm.
We will see how this interesting phenomenon will develop.

Poor conditions and a race against thickening cloud. I just managed the poor IR as the clouds ended the session,
but included it for completeness anyway.
It did however allow me a first glimpse of the dust in Valles Marineris.
Incoming evening cloud is the order of the day here, but hopefully get some breaks.

Despite strong gusts of wind and jetstream overhead,
the attached image clearly shows the spreading dust storm on Mars.
The dust is spilling over from the Solis Lacus region on the bright limb at 10 o'clock.
I look forward to watching this storm develop and the active region rotates into view.

[Peter Edwars: West Sussex United Kingdom]

Michael Karrer
Seeing was stable: never good.
Despite that it was a joy to recognise signs of the storm at live view
and a surprise what an interesting stucture appeared in a quick image processing.
Capture time 190 sec.,exposure 11ms,gain 270. 1500 frames selected by Autostakkert 3 (just 17 aligment points),
sharpened with Registax and final processing with Photoshop.

[Michael Karrer : St.Radegund,Austria]

Robert Heffner
Very poor imaging conditions especially transparency,
but wanted to get in another observation before the jet stream strengthened again.
Have around 1TB of unprocessed data from the dust storm, including Nov 11.
Will send a composite image later.
