This is the sharpest image I could get of transit of Japetus (without selective enhancement of satellite),centered on 00:35 UT. Tons of Gb went to garbage due to unfair seeing conditions. Japetus was totally invisible both on screen and at eyepiece.

I've been lucky this morning to have some quite good seeing conditions as Japetus was passing in front of Saturn. So here is the image I've been able to get with my Mewlon 300 and a monochrom camera ASI290.

The transit of Iapetus can just be seen. A single 11,000 frame AVI was used here to produce a stack of 3,000 frames.
